Best threads/trainwrecks on COTH?

Oh, where ever did the one with the trained mice in the grain bin end up?

had to look it up:

Sounds like we both have the same sentiments, GJ

I really just do not get snarkiness from any side, really. Why argue/put down people you pretty much don’t even know?
Exactly. It’s not necessary or really even constructive. I don’t mind a little sarcasm and humor, but the over the top nasty and personal attacks… Nope. Not cool.

The trained… what?!?

Clearly I’m going to have to read that one!

Ok girls, I’ve not read all the trainwreck threads that occurred before I joined coth. I’ve been told about them by cothers who stayed up all night posting and deleting on trainwreck threads before the mods got up in the morning and deleted most of the posts.

But, I do think that the thread that someone (I forget who started it, I was told back then but I forgot so i cannot give credit or out her.) started as s|c2 (not to be confused with slc2, oh wait, yes it was to be confused with slc2:lol:) was actually funny and not so malicious as some of the trainwrecks. I think the mods deleted it the next morning, but after I had awakened and been told to look at it.

Since I worked nights at the time and it happened on my day/night/whatever you want to call it, off, it would have been funny if she hadn’t been lampooned on every_single_forum.

Oh I forgot that s|c2 posted on multiple threads and that the “is there a slick impersonator” thread only had her one post.

I’m still waiting for my book that I preordered.

The “strapping a dead cow to your horse” line was one of my favorites.

By all means, when a thread has gone snark but seems to be dying a natural death, resurrect it under the guise of passing judgment on it. Can’t leave it alone, must poke with stick.

Doughnuts, anyone?

I don’t know what to reply, but I feel like posting something.

Oh, and there was a hilarious thread about riding couches somewhere, I can’t seem to find it though.

Doughnuts schmonuts . What I want is chocolate hazelnut ice cream that is made from coconut milk. Mmmmm.

Has anyone mentioned the school horse that was stolen but not stolen?

Had a Net Posse put out on it, and within 5 posts or so, a COTH poster says, but wait! I HAVE that horse, I bought her, with a bill of sale and everything! By 50 pages, everyone had been smeared, from the old owner, to the new owner, to the dealer. If I’m remembering correctly, they all showed up to post as well, slinging the mud all around.

Nobody has posted CBER yet. That was a guaranteed trainwreck. Every time I see Sam at a show driving her fancy pickup and trailer and using her $$$$$ camera gear I always wonder if it was paid for by “rescue” donations.
Of course it was. She’s still in business, you know. Now she’s “Rebel’s Equine Feedlot Sales” and it’s the same old scam all over again, same feedlot, just a different name and I think she learned her lesson about trying to have a 501©3.

As was Norcrest…another well known person on here adept at creating a fantasy online persona and being a neglector IRL. IIRC she had 1 dead on her property and 4 that had to be euthanized and almost 80 more seized, yet was still trying to buy/free lease more. :(
I was trying to remember who Norcrest was, so I googled it and found an entire blog of crazy… http://norcrestfarm.blogspot.com/

“Hey, Vicki Mosgrove, you stupid b&*&…did you know that my pictures are my personal property and just like the horses you stole, you are stealing them for your own use which is illegal? Using pictures of leggy and treasur being loaded into your van which was overpacked with 16 horses is bad enough but anyone with a 1/3 of a brain (which none of your volunteers have) can see that they were not neglected or thin at the time of the so called rescue which was actually legalized extortion and robbery. I wish horse thieves were still hung because all you deserve to be punished!”

Ooooh boy. Get the Reserpine and not for the horses!

I wonder if they make gluten free donuts… if so, I’m taking one.

Yeah Catsknsn…she’s nuts. She started that blog shortly after having the horses seized and still rants on there from time to time. She still says it was a conspiracy to raise money for the rescue to build a new barn…what a moron.

Somehow I missed that one

I’m somewhere around page 50 now… Do we eventually find out what happened to the mare?

And on a lighter note, clowns

I’m up to page 73 and no resolution yet. I’ve been reading if off/on for 2 days! Can’t even imagine what the tension was like when this was happening “live.”

Ok granted the thread I started regarding “Dirty Rat Bastard” was not as epic as some of these but it was a very trying, traumatizing time of my life. Certainly, worth a vote at least for entertainment value.

We enjoyed it, Ghostrider!

Just finished it. And I only have two words, “Well, damn.” If you thought the first 95 pages were crazy, the last few are REALLY speshul. And sad.

Crap. I only got up to pg 10 two days ago. Should I read the whole thing or just skip to, say, pg 95 and read from there?
