Best way to advertise saddle for sale to foxhunters

I’ve been staunchly resisting the urge to join Facebook for years, so where else would be a good place to advertise a VERY gently used, high quality saddle for sale that would be perfect for the taller lady or gentleman hunter?

Ebay has become a lark. People expect you to offer a saddle at a third of its value or it won’t sell. I’ve had an ad up on Tack Trader for about a week now and have had absolutely no inquiries. I’ve got it listed at what is a fair market value, and am willing to negotiate.

My vet said she would share it on her hunt club’s Facebook page, but either she hasn’t had a chance to or still no interest (probably the former). Any suggestions?

Consign it with a reputable shop. Middleburg Tack Exchange or Maryland Saddlery. Is Rick’s Heritage still a big thing?

If you don’t want to do Facebook, your next bet is consignment. There are a lot of consignment places, and a few mentioned above that cater to hunters. You can also check out Tack Trader.

I did just sell my saddle on Tack Hunter after about a month of fb/ebay. Ebay is a complete waste of time & money for a higher end saddle, IMO.

I live near Rick’s Heritage in West Chester and the last two times I was in their used inventory is WAY, way down. I am guessing by 40 to 50%. I would go with Middleburg if it is a saddle that is not French.
