Best websites for listing Trailer for sale

I have used Tack Trader for saddles etc and had success but not for a trailer. Tell me the websites you have used in the past for selling your trailer. Thanks

I have bought and sold both of my trailers via Craigslist. The last trailer I sold, I also paid to list on HorseTrailerWorld, which gets a ton of traffic; I had a couple hits from there, but I got significantly more attention from CL.

There are also some Facebook pages devoted to horse trailer sales; I’m sure you can do a search there also.

I bought a trailer on craigslist. I would go with craigslist first.

I sold a trailer on HorseTrailer World very quickly and had multiple people lined up behind the first person to call.

I bought my second trailer off Craig’s List and trailers there seemed to move reasonably quickly as I missed out on a couple I was interested in.

Also look for Facebook sites for your area/state. There is one for Texas trailers for sale, for example.

Do not bother with equine.com, equinenow, horseclicks, etc. I stopped looking at those sites because 75% of the ads were scams.

I had the opposite experience. I listed my Brenderup Solo on HorseTrailer World, CL and several Facebook pages.

I received ZERO inquiries from CL and FB.

Sold my trailer on HorseTrailer World to a lovely lady from 5 states away. She drove her RV on a weeklong vacation to pick it up in person and paid me in cash. Best selling experience ever!

I wonder if the value of said trailer makes a difference?

My first trailer was a 30-year old Arndt 2H BP, which I renovated… It was completely overhauled and I did sell it at a profit, but it was still only a sub-$5k trailer and was never going to be more than that. I think Horse Trailer World leans towards the higher-valued trailers, whereas craigslist really trolls for the yard-sale crowd, lol…

Horse Trailer World without a doubt! I’ve bought and sold on it. I had a similar experience as Inese. An great family from several hours away came (on time no less!) and paid in cash.

I had my trailer for sale on a local fb page for about 10 days (it was free) - figured I would try that first before using HTW - lots of interest and questions (could I trade, would I take payments, lower price, etc.). No harm, no foul, but no sale either, so I went ahead w/my original plan to advertise on HTW.

I put the ad up on HTW Thurs AM, had a call that afternoon, they bought it Saturday morning, as soon as they could get there (they drove from a few states away). It was a Trail Et 2 horse (94) in excellent condition at a good price, so I know that had something to do with the speed of the sale, but I attracted the buyer who absolutely was looking for that vehicle because of that service, so I’m a fan.

Of course it goes without saying that the person who tire kicked the most was OUTRAGED!1!!11!! when I posted it as sold on the fb page. Dude, right of first refusal does mean you have to a) contact me, b) come out and see the trailer or otherwise arrange to give me $$$, not just ponder your fb options.

I posted a photo and ad at some local feed stores and sold it very quickly (besides HTW)
