Hi everyone! I’m looking for some new show shirts for my reining shows, my local tack store don’t carry many options in that department… any suggestions for the best (your favorite) online shop to buy some show shirts? Thanks in advance!!!
Rod’s and Sheplers have a lot of options. I find Ariat, Cinch, and Roper have contemporary, nice shirts that aren’t going to break the bank. Scully and CR Ranchwear have some flashy shirts if you’re okay with spending upwards of $100.
I have a Rod’s brand show shirt that I really like. Its stretchy, and fairly breathable. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it is hand wash only. However, I have been throwing it in the washing machine on delicate and then hanging it to dry without issue.
CR Ranchwear.
If you’re looking for economy, look up Port Authority Women’s Long Sleeve Easy Care Shirt on Amazon. Comes in a bunch of colors, and is really nice for less than $20. Just pair it with a fun wild rag and off you go!
@kelo beat me to it! I second the Port Authority Easy Care shirts. I have four I think. But even if they don’t fit great any tailor can take in a plain long sleeve shirt for not much money.
I like to have fun with scarves and saddle pads so plain shirts are my go to
A 3rd vote for port authority…awesome shirts. Really nice colors and they are a really flattering fit. I’ve also bought nice shirts from 'LL Beane…they just tend to run a little short so if you’re long in the torso the sizes can be tough. Also cinch/cruel girl makes nice button ups that are called “arena fit”…longer sleeves and tail so you can move around without popping out of it. All 3 brands fit different but I like the port authority the best, it’s a very feminine look…the cinch ones can get a little boxy
Great ideas thanks!! Also, I like the button down shirts, but does anyone know where I can get those fancier zip up ones?? I know of hobby horse but I didn’t like any of their styles.
just google custom western show clothing! so many options out there. What your looking for will probably be called a rail shirt or a western pleasure shirt. The horsemanship tops tend to be very symmetrical which may be the look you are going for. Toby’s western wear sells on ebay and has great quality clothing for reasonable prices
Thank you so much!
Show diva!
I have this one…its so classy and dressier than a regular black button up bit still plain enough that you can wear it with absolutely anything

this is what it looks like on

this is the other one I have…they call it a shirt as opposed to the black one being a jacket. Lighter weight. Another really classy shirt.

How much are you wanting to spend? If you are wanting to go all out winning couture makes them custom and the material is amazing. Love them. If you don’t want to spend the money almost anything will work. Just have to find what fits you
