Yep, remove the pallets. My rubber is over crushed concrete, so I doubled up the rubber in case one layer gets poked. The stuff is fantastic, and for those just tuning in, find a commercial roofer - you can usually get the stuff for free from old jobs where they’ve pulled it off the roofs.
GOOD to know about the product. But I’d still want that down FIRST and pallets over it for lift from contact if I were utilizing it . I prefer some air between hay and ground contact. ---- on that note, for anyone ‘putting up’ your hay outbuilding, I suggest a solid raised deck tailgate high to attach your hay shed to over it. . SO easy for loading/unloading (I also have a ramp to mine) and no pallets, no tarping. mine is a LARGE out building, but for a hay shed the cost shouldn’t be too much. the air flow under and the raised height to load hay into/get deliveries is so nice! when I want to load our little beater truck to take anywhere from one or two or even a truck bed full over to our little horse barn I just walk em right onto the truck bed. My bagged shavings too.
