Big W saddles

Is anyone familiar with this brand of saddle? It looks like it’s made by Western Saddlery. I just acquired an old cutting saddle that’s in excellent shape. It’s a light colored leather with beautiful tooling all over the saddle. I can’t wait to get it cleaned up and oiled. I was just curious whether this is a popular or well known brand and whether they hold any value.

Never heard of the brand.

Yeah when I google it I can only find 1 or 2 saddles for sale out there made by “Big W” and none of them look like the one I have. I have no idea how old this saddle is so no clue if the company was bought out by another saddle maker at some point or just closed up shop one day…

Thought it was worth a shot to ask on here!

The vintage ones hold thier value and are pretty collectible depending on the style. I’ve had a few over the years and have always sold them on ebay for very good money. The newer ones on ebay…I’m not sure if they are Mexican or India made knock offs or if someone bought the trademark?

HeyPone! I was wondering what the general sales price is for one of the older models? I have one I am reconditioning to put up for sale on behalf of a local therapeutic riding program and I am looking for a base point to work from when pricing the saddle.

I had a “western saddlery” one… The local tack store owner where I have it on consignment says Mexican.
