I don’t own any of the original mylers, but my OTTB who was an insufferable head shaker really took extremely well to a myler style bit (aka tongue relief bits), specifically one that had a lower and wider port and a copper roller. YMMV but these bits are not terribly expensive, here in Canada you can get one for like 50-60 CAD and some have hooks for leverage. I’m only angry at myself that I didn’t get one sooner.
