Follow up to Bit of Britain order. I left my 2nd VM today (11/2/22) (along with a previous email) and got a live phone call back 2 hours later. I was happy about that. She stated that this order is based on “just in time” shipping…i.e. they get the order and payment then order from supplier (US Herm Sprenger in this case) which is shippped to BoB, which they then ship out to the customer. She said the problem was with HS having not shipped it yet. Of course, there is the question of “did BoB actually get the order to HS in the 1st place in a timely manner”….She said she will get back to me. Maybe there’s hope I will receive the bit by Christmas… Questnpls1…hope you get resolution…As they say…money doesn’t grow on trees!
Okay, finally had a live person call me back. The JIT shipping is, well, okay I guess. They did ship 2 of the items from that order the same day. 3rd is coming. None is urgent but really need to replace my old helmet so that arrived. Boots are going back. Hope the refund is quick!
Yes but, everyone does JIT shipping nowadays, and knows the manufacturer’s stock levels. So telling you that something is in stock when they don’t have it and the manufacturer doesn’t have it is a bit off, I think.
