Hi guys! Lately I’ve been noticing that my elevator has been rubbing my bay gelding. It hasn’t gotten to the point where it’s bleeds, but there is missing hair and red. Any suggestions on how to prevent this?
Thanks!

It’s either being over-used, or it’s not the right size for him. “Not the right size” could be too small OR too big.
A picture wold help a lot

Yup, she is correct.
Bit Butter, A&D ointment or Corona as lip balm/lubricant. And check inside the corners of the mouth for rubs or lesions.
