For those without Instagram, the video claims the Wilson snaffle bit prevents the rings from being pulled through the mouth, creates more lateral control vs a traditional loose ring, and shifts some pressure off of the corners of the lips by moving it to the cheeks.

I’m not sure about that last part, but the idea seems to be to add lateral control to a horse that likes the movement of a loose ring.
