Bizarre Fraud Leads to FEI Suspension

I don’t understand what this person was attempting to do. Were they planning to use the FEI in some immigration type scam or a horse scam? It don’t think it would work well for either.

sounds like she was using the FEI / Olympic cache to misrepresent herself and the horses she was selling

“Furthermore, the respondent stated that an ongoing investigation was being conducted into the perpetrator who was using her identity to commit fraud, which involved selling horses that did not exist,” stated the FEI Tribunal.

Thanks, I missed that. She’d really have to be selling to uneducated people. The FEI doesn’t give out letters “certifying” that someone has qualified for the Olympic Games, even I know that.

People are so weird.

There is a nut bag “dressage trainer” in Missouri who claimed she was long listed for the Olympic team representing Costa Rica and was Robert Dover’s first trainer. This was all before the internet was invented in the early '90s. When people could start trying to verify all of these claims it disappeared like a puff of smoke LOL
