Black bridle with brown padding?

Does such a thing exist?

I’m trying to find a black dressage snaffle bridle with chocolate brown padding (it’s for a chestnut) and also with a flash. So far I’m having no luck finding one. I’ve found a couple with brass buckles, but I really only want stainless steel. Does anyone know of any brands that make one?

PinkEquine.com should have them.

I’m seeing black with white, with silver, with blue, with green, but not with brown. My personal preference for a chestnut would be black with white, especially if your horse has any white facial markings. JMO.

Bobby’s does, and they’re decent quality for what they cost: https://www.bobbystack.com/shop/padded-and-raised-snaffle-bridle-with-flash/

Try Royal. They’re having a sale.

PS of Sweden has some pretty options.

Eponia has a nice one: https://www.eponiaequestriansport.com/produkt/dressage-bridle/

Macrider also does black with brown. More expensive but seems to be great quality. The black with brown does not appear on the website, but I saw one at a tradeshow that I loved.

Euro Horse Designs carries Otto Schumacher…they’ll do a ton of different designs, including black on brown. I have one from them that’s black on havana…it’s really pretty, can message you pictures if you’d like.

Thanks everyone!
I think the Otto Schumacher bridles might be the best option. They offer everything I want. What is the quality of the leather/ workmanship like? I’ve heard that people seem to think that they are a little overpriced for what you get.

Unfortunately the pink equine bridle’s noseband is a little too thin for what I want.
I’ve looked at the Epona ones, but the bridles that have brown padding all have brass coloured buckles!

If you could send me pictures that would be great! Thanks!

I love the black with brown combinations. Hope you find one you like

You can “custom” and get the Eponia, with stainless options. I have seen both offered at a vendor stall at Equine Affair.

I have their Ginger bridle. Very impressed with it so far. I’ve had it for over a year and it’s used daily.

I just emailed them to ask if they could make a black bridle with brown padding and silver coloured buckles, and they said they couldn’t. Oh well! It was at least worth asking.

I’m blaiming you for the 8 browbands I have in my cart! Though in truth I need full browbands to go on my cob bridles so getting a couple greens and some plain blacks and they’re on sale really cheap!

That’s disappointing… They don’t have any in stock? Maybe I was thinking of the Ginger being in silver and not the Cookie… Sorry!

Courbette, Kieffer and Stubben all make black with brown padding. I actually really like the Kieffer’s version - it’s more of a nubuck color than a dark brown which I think looks sharp. I believe it was called Andromeda? Their Esperanza is a double but is black/brown, and they have a regular caveson somewhere that I know for a fact is black/brown…

I believe Solo Equine makes one. I know they make a brown one with black padding and I think they also make the reverse version. They just had a HUGE black Friday sale and I think they have sold out of a lot of their bridles over the weekend. If you send them a message on Facebook they should be able to give you all the details. They are wonderful to deal with and their bridle quality is very nice for the price point.

Keep an eye on eBay also if you are not in a hurry. I have seen black with brown padding fly by sometimes. I have a cob size Arc de Triomphe that is black with brown padding from ebay, and I have seen Crosby and Stubben also. I had the Bobby’s, and agree that it is a nice enough bridle for the price. The padding is MUCH darker than it appears in the stock photo–i actually sold mine because I was wanting more of a chestnut and their brown is much closer to chocolate.
