i’m trying to decide between those two saddles, eden or eloquence.was told eden works for the curved back while eloquence is straighter in the tree.i also know that black country does mix up trees and panels between models sometimes and looking at those saddles,i wonder if that is the case here as the eden seems faltter than the eloquence.my horse is a 16.2 TB with an ever so slightly curved back,a hair rump high .he has a black country vinici ap that fits him well.not sure which one to pick, would appreciate some thoughts :)first pic is eden, second eloquence
I would agree that the Eden is generally better for a curvier back and Eloquence for flatter backs. If the Vinici AP fits I would lean towards the Eloquence, but it might be worth contacting Black Country with the serial numbers and seeing if they are a “standard” build.
thank you ,will give that a try ! looking at the horse would you say he is curvy or more flat through the back ? i got different options from different people on it ,here’s a better picture.
My guy is in an Eloquence. And he is significantly flatter in the back than your guy (after the wither, just a ruler straight line to his croup).
Looking at your horse, I would say the Eden would work better. I have an Eden, Eloquence and Vinici, and the Eloquence, and the Vinici to a lesser extent, bridge on a moderately curvy-backed horse I sometimes ride, while the Eden fits her nicely.
Your horse may also flatten out as he gains muscle. My mare was fitted to the Eden in fall of 2017, and by summer of 2018, it was rocking on her, so I switched her to the Eloquence, and eventually had the Vinici flocked to fit her (it is wider than the Eloquence; it was not about the longitudinal profile of the tree).
right, another rider friend said the same.THIS eloquence i’m looking at has rather thin rear panels so i thought i might get away with that as the saddle’s bottom outline LOOKS slightly curved/upswept to the rear
