No one is going to notice, although I personally cannot ride in things of British/German persuasion.
FWIW, my broad, flat-backed one goes in a Devoucoux, after an exhaustive saddle search. Their regular tree is a lot wider and flatter than most french saddles, and their AO tree is very wide. You could also try Prestige Renaissance.
IF you’re in FL, please feel free to message me. I was in the same predicament and you’re welcome to try my saddle to see if it fits. I had the additional fun of having one with asymmetrical shoulders! But this one that I have a nice hybrid between the County/Stubben wide saddles and the French brands.
You could look at Prestige. They have a similar “French feel” but are wool-flocked, offer a few different trees, and the trees can be widened/narrowed as needed.
