Buffalo and the reverse doe for seat and pads is beautiful![/QUOTE]

jaybird660, can you give a ballpark price for the Ricochet with buffalo and reverse doe for seat and pads?

RunforIT: The Ricochet with Buffalo leather and reverse does seat and pads would be $3,635. It would take about 4 to 5 weeks to be delivery it to you. Please give me a call or email me if you have any more questions.

Love my BC’s.

Another BC convert, I have the Wexford and am dreading my next horse purchase as I know I’ll have to speak very nicely to the OH as I’m sure I’ll need another BC. I’ll second the workmanship and quality, living in FL torrential rain is inevitable at some point with thick scrub/brush out hunting and it cleans up looking brand new every time. Mine really is a Rolls Royce, absolutely love it and would recommend them to anyone looking.

I’m currently in the market for my second BC Vinici Dressage. They are wonderful saddles.

Due to different horses, I’m on my 3rd BC. Love them, bought a Wexford and Eloquence. Wish my Riccochet would have worked… sigh

BC’s latest price list has the Ricochet at 3350 and buffalo adds 370 and then reverse doe adds more and I can let you know when I get to the shop later. We all get the same price list for retail so I’m not sure how the other price above was calculated.

BC’s prices went up around May 1. The base price for the Ricochet and buffalo with reverse doe would be 3920 with the new costs. Some fitters/reps add in extra costs but we don’t. We price according to their price sheets. As I previously mentioned, I’m not sure where Sheltona01 came up with that price but I can say that this is from the 2015 price sheet. If you were to add a colored welting which looks beautiful with the brown buffalo, that would add around 90.00 and comes in several colors.

Hi Jay,

It is from the 2015/2016 price sheet that they gave me in April/May this year. I just checked my figures again. Maybe I got the wrong price sheet? The base price is the same, but the additional cost are not. I will clarify with them because I am not sure why we have the different prices. Really not trying to cause problems, but confused and trying to answer people questions. Thank you for bring it to my attention.

I have the Vinici Tex Eventer and Vinici dressage saddle in the monoflap. Dressage saddle has K panels and surge. Love them both! My jump saddle is very well balanced and allows me to maintain my center of gravity very easily when out galloping. I do most of my riding (even hacks) in my dressage saddle. I feel very secure in it. Twist makes it easy to relax my hip and lengthen my leg without swinging/rocking. Rep/saddle fitter is great to work with!

Sheltona01,
I’m going to pm you.

I love my BC - and I got mine from Patti Merli - she is awesome!

I have something halfway between a Wexford and a Richochet. It is fantastic saddle. I know you’re never supposed to blame your tack, but I call it my magic saddle because I can finally stay with my horse over fences and not lose my lower leg.

Love my Tex Eventer. Have it in buffalo. Did not get mono flap because I use it in the hunters. Not great for EQ because I can’t sit the trot well in it but otherwise great. No one the wiser! Looks like new asides from some dye wear but it gets heavy use. Like another poster, I feel like I am glued to it. Horse spooks at birds in shrubbery and I just sit there!

I worked with Patty Merli to get a jump saddle–my new BC Solare just arrived and it is beeeyoootiful! I got serge panels for my tight-backed little mare. Work and family mean I can’t ride in it until Friday…impatient to try it out! My understanding it that the Solare is built on a new slimline tree, I liked the demo as it didn’t make me feel stuck in any position, but was supportive. I’ve tried the Tex Eventer and it was great for galloping and jumping, but like silverdog noted, I couldn’t really sit in it, and I prefer to be able to do all my usual flatwork in my jumping saddles. Apparently the Solare also has a further set back stirrup bar.

Sorry this doesn’t speak to the Ricochet…guess I got a little carried away!

Chiming in late to say I’ve had my Ricochet for about 2 years and I love the darn thing. The leather and welting has worn beautifully. It fits my short backed Morgan quite well. It does allow me to get out of the tack when jumping and galloping xc which is great. For what it’s worth, I lesson with a hunter/jumper trainer who is a saddle snob (in the best sense) and she has commented that it’s the only brand she’d suggest other than an Amerigo.

I also have a ricochet. Except for the flap not fitting me, I like the saddle. The flap was my fault, I got what I ordered.

I had a BC jump saddle, similar to the Wexford, that I bought off a fitter. I loved it at first but as my horse went from “race horse thin” to “wanna-be warmblood” it no longer fit him and put me into more of a chair seat. I ended up selling it.

I do have to say that I was able to sit some MAJOR shenanigans in that saddle. I never once felt like I was coming loose (unless it was a pre-determined “I must go this way, horse must go that way” bail out. Two years later I still have the bruise from that one!)

*Just realized I had scrolled through some pages and this was an older post, sorry!
