Black Laced Reins

Does anyone know where I can find nice black laced reins? I can only find ones made by Tory, but I was hoping to find something a little nicer.

And if I can’t any, can anyone indulge me for a moment? I want more grip than normal tabbed reins have, but every set of reins I have used that have rubber seem too bulky and stiff. I’m a laced rein person unfortunately. In the past I have dyed brown reins black, but I’m trying to avoid that this time.

Maybe see if these are still in stock, they’re also on Amazon.com:

They have a cheaper “Plymouth” version too.

FWIW, I have small hands and like a thin rein with some grip. I have a set from PS of Sweden that is rubber on the inside, plain leather on the outside. I quite like them. I think Nuun Finer has a similar set in their selection of reins as well.

Have you held the Tori reins? Their leather is better than most competitors, I prefer them over most brands. Nunn Finer has black laced and black braided - love the black braided.

If you want to try something other than laced, the Nunn Finer Soft Grip reins might suit you. They are very flexible and not any thicker than plain leather reins, but have the grip of rubber. Other brands make the same style, but Nunn Finer will be good quality.

So I can’t say how they are fresh out of the package, since at this point, mine are 10+ years old and I just don’t remember - but I love my Nunn Finer rubber lined leather reins. They’re not bulky, soft as buttah, and give that rubber grip

I use Hinterland soft notched reins, which are awesome but probably don’t have the grip that you’re wanting. Hinterland do make laced and braided reins in black too, although I’ve never used them, the other Hinterland gear I have seen is nice quality.

Actually my main gripe with tabs is that it kind of limits where I can put my hands.

BUT it turns out Hinterland makes black PLAITED reins, which are actually my ultimate want. I just didn’t think I’d find them. Thank you so much!
