This doesn’t happen all the time, maybe once a day. I’ll be on the forum, go to something new and it will stay in connecting mode for a very long time. Then, when it finally “connects,” I have nothing but a blank screen. I have to exit the site and then re-enter. It’s always fine when I do that. I’m on Windows Vista, and use Firefox as my browser.
This just happened to me about 5 minutes ago, and has been happening on and off for about a month now. I think it might be a COTH server or bandwidth issue, I use Google Chrome and have Windows 7 on my laptop. Sometimes it takes a few minutes of non-activity for it to cease being an issue, sometimes I have to log off and back on…
Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut. Today, it’s happening constantly. Very annoying.
Yes, this just started happening to me today. But, for the past few days whenever I click on a thread, it will go there but then that is IT! When I click on either the back button or try to use the forum headings at the top of the page, it’s like everything just stops. I cannot get to any other forum or thread. And it doesn’t resolve - it will stay that way (stuck) forever so my only choice is to leave COTH completely. Sometimes I can get back on the site and it will be fine (but again, for only ONE click on a thread) but sometimes I can’t even do that - all seems to continue in the suspended animation mode. Now the blank screen had started! UGH!
I’m on Safari.
ETA - I just hit the “preview post” button and got frozen out again. No preview screen and then the blank screen. Somehow I got back here and my post was still waiting. Very frustrating.
Ok - can’t seem to post this reply at all. Hitting “submit reply” just gets the blank screen but the back button does return to the post waiting to be submitted. I’ll keep trying so maybe someday this post will actually be added to this thread!
Has been doing the same to me since last night. Very slow to connect, and even slower when going to a particular thread. Sometimes get the blank page, or wait for what seems an eternity to connect to the topic. 
I am only having the problem with COTH. None of my other ‘favourites’ are giving me problems.
Just happened to me as well. Blank screens all around (using Safari) until I went to a few other sites and then back here and it seemed to be working okay.
Earlier today, had a problem with pages loading - progress bar would make a little bit of progress and then ‘hang’.
Sometimes reloading the page works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Happens both in Safari on my iPad and Explorer on my PC (Windows 7)
Same problem as others above - either taking FOREVER to load, or taking forever and then giving me a blank screen. Happens on my Windows laptop and on my Android phone as well
Same here, super slow and just getting blank screens. On iPad with Safari right now. I’ll hit refresh a few times and eventually it loads. But very slow.
Me, too. Google Chrome on Windows 8 and also Google Chrome on XP.
Same here using Chrome on Windows 8 or Internet Explorer on 8. I’m having the issue with the entire COTH website, not just the forum, and this is the only website where this is happening.
Yup. Also this morning, links often not working correctly (going back up one level, for example). I suspect some sort of database or other web-engine problem, which might have just got fixed, since I could get to this forum and post.
