Not sure if anyone has dealt with Samanta Lawton (aka Samantha Lawton-Duthie) or is leasing any of her ponies, but she has gotten herself into trouble again. She is currently in jail on a Felony in Boone County Kentucky for “Theft by Unlawful Taking Disp Auto”, which I think means car theft. She was also in jail in Virginia on a Felony Fugitive Warrant and a DUI (Driving Under the Influence). I looked her name up and put “arrest” at the end on Google and she comes up as being busted in Maryland for a different DUI. She also has previous criminal charges for auto theft that were dropped in Virginia in the last couple years, and other larceny charges. I think it might be worth noting that she has a long history of being in court for civil and criminal issues. There was some situation where she got herself sued where court records show that she had an $11 Million dollar judgement placed on her in a lawsuit with Tresie Wallace.
If you are leasing a horse from her and haven’t heard anything, this is probably why. It’s also probably a good thing people are aware of what’s going on with her in general if you’re doing business. All of this is fresh and she has a history of not being very nice.
