I drag our ring with a rock rake, but it just doesn’t pull out the deep-rooted weeds/grass. (the rock rake looks something like this). I don’t want to use cancer causing chemicals either. Ideas? Thanks!
If you figure it out let us know, but if that grass and weed gets too deeply rooted it’s going to screw with your base if you pull it out.
(Yes, I was putting down round up this last weekend)
I use vinegar to kill the weeds - put in a sprayer bottle (full strength) and spray on the weeds. They should wilt / die in 24 hours and then can be pulled out easily by hand.
I spray with extended release everything killer.
RoundUp will do the job. So will other herbicides. It will take multiple application as weeds seed out at different times of the year.
Cancer causing? Likely not. Remember that a jury is 12 ignorant* people voting to see who has the best lawyer, most likable client, and most likely story.

*This is literal truth because in striking a jury anyone with specific or specialized knowledge about issues that will likely arise in the litigation will be challenged and excused.
I saw 30% gardening vinegar on amazon:

Yes, big clumps of clay were coming out with the uprooted weeds. Its true
yeah, just kill it and keep dragging, DO NOT PULL IT OUT!! (ask me how I know this). If you only have weeds, put down a weed killer, but chances are there’s grass in there. Grass loves arenas (ask me how I know this)
Honestly, I only end up putting down round up once a year in summer. That and regular (weekly/biweeky) dragging keeps it clean until winter and then dragging holds them at bay until about this time next year. And it is a 30x80m ish size arena with only one person using it.
Might want to research before you spend the time spraying Vinegar. I use RoundUP.
