I tried various methods. At first, I tried in a treat that I pre-prepped and put with his other supplements (German horse muffins, carrots, etc.). That didn’t work after a month - the treats started tasting like the meds. Then my horse would eat it just put in his grain (go figure). Later, he got more sensitive and sifted it out, so we put it in a syringe and he got dosed every day. HOWEVER, except for the initial “put it in the treat” trial, I never again took it out of the single-pill blister packs, but instead got a pill organizer that I velcro’d to the top of the bucket that his regular grain was prepped in with the instructions written in magic marker on the top of the bucket (’“X” tab 1xday’), and refilled the pill organizer with the still blister-packed pill(s) each weekend. If for some reason I was unable to get out to the barn to refill the pill container, everyone knew where his meds were kept and they’d refill it. (FWIW - mine was not the only one on Prascend, so everyone has gone through trial and error on how best to give it, and we’re pretty much all doing the syringe thing. My horse was probably the worst at getting dosed, but he figured out pretty fast that the person dosing him has longer arms that me, so sticking his nose in the air wasn’t going to get him anywhere - lol!)
