I am planning on relocating to Colorado Springs early spring 2017, and am looking for a boarding facility for my horse! He is a 16yr old OTTB, currently rehabbing from a DDFT injury. We used to do the ‘AA’ Hunters, but as he won’t ever jump again, we have transitioned to dressage (and loving it!)
I am reaching out to the COTH community to see if there are any Colorado Springs contacts and/or suggestions for boarding. This is what I am looking for:
- Indoor arena (I’ve heard it’s necessary for year round riding)
- Excellent care!
- Good, well maintained footing
- Attached paddock/run (not required, but preferred)
- a “full care” price (I don’t want to be nickel and dimed for services)
- within 30 minutes of CO Springs, preferably north/east rather than south as I will be living more so in the northern springs/Black Forest area
My budget is relatively flexible… I would like to stay under $650/mo, but for the right situation I could go higher.
I have scoured the internet and looked at every website out there… but tell me what you know! (even if they don’t have a website!)
