Boarding in Dayton, Ohio

I’m hoping some members could point me in the right direction. I’m looking for a new barn in the Dayton, Ohio area, preferably the north side of town, including Vandalia, Englewood, Union. I have tried to give my current barn chances to correct things but it’s not been done and now that my mare is on stall rest, she’s more than once been out of water and she has 3 buckets. Stalls aren’t getting done consistently and we’re out of bedding again for the 6th or 7th time this year. I pay for full care and am definitely not getting it. My only must is an indoor arena. If you knkw of anything, please let me know. Thanks.

Reach out to folks in the Miami Valley Hunt. They have a facebook page.

There are two facebook groups
Dayton area horse lovers and Dayton Area Horse owners
Also good info there

North of town,

Heavens gate farm, Pam Heintz is lovely- pony club meets here. Clayton
Also Hart2Hart in Arcanum for western trail types
Heidi McCready owns St Francis, Bellbrook- also very nice- pony club type atmosphere
Trails End Farm is also beautiful and up that way- they are part of the Dayton Local Show Circuit (Hunters, Dressage, Some jumpers)

Mill Creek Equestrian - dressage and hunter, beautiful facility, well managed www.millcreekeq.com

Rolling Brook Stable in Casstown (near Troy) - an Arab show barn but very professional care and does some boarding and retirement board for all breeds. www.rollingbrookstable.com

ETA: And because I’m nosy, where are you now? You can PM if you want. I can think of a couple of places that fit your description

Yes.Mill Creek is fantastic, as is Emerald Valley (where my ottb is now)- but they are not north of town.

Northeast then? But sometimes people are willing to drive a little further for the right place, eh?
