Boarding in Fort Collins, CO

Hi all,
Looking for input on where to board, or where not to board (pm please!) around the Fort Collins area. I am moving in August, but aside from one short weekend to interview, I have never spent time in the area.I am planning to head out there to check things out in person before I move, but was looking for a starting point. Open to vet/farrier do’s/don’ts also!
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I’m also possibly looking at relocating to Fort Collins, and would love to know what your research came up with/where you ended up. I’m hoping for a h/j barn where I can ride 2-3 days a week, reasonably close to the CSU campus.

If you don’t mind pasture board (real pasture, no stalls) I adore this place. The facilities, quality of instruction, and barn family is top notch

I just finished my time at CSU and cannot say enough wonderful things about Taft Hill Acres. They took AMAZING care of my horse, had wonderful owners and managers. No drama, constantly trying to improve the facility, free feed and more. When my horse passed, I was devastated not only at the loss but because I felt like I would be losing my barn family. Close to campus, full or partial care, pasture board, stall with run board and turnout options! I cannot say enough nice things about the hay provided, the care provided. Fabulous fabulous place, plenty of CSU students and no drama! http://www.tafthillacres.com/

Many students boarded at Oasis Equestrian and enjoyed their time there. I have heard that ring time is hard to find as there are many trainers who teach lessons but the care seems to be great. http://oasisequestriancenter.com/

If you are a CSU student, I recommend connecting the English Riding Club. I was an officer for years and they bring in clinicians and are a great way to make connections to the local horse community. If you need more advice or places to avoid, feel free to PM me.
