I’ve looked in the usual places (horse of delaware valley, equine marketer, craigslist, pennsylvania equestrian) and checked the ads at heritage, but I really think what I’m looking for has to be found in the word-of-mouth route.
I’m hoping to find a small, private place to board around Malvern or Radnor Hunt – maybe someone who has their horses at home and is just looking to bring in some extra money or would like to have someone around to farm sit when they go away. My only must-haves are 24/7 turnout on good grass, with shelter, and direct access to decent trails. Boarding with only one other horse probably wouldn’t be a good idea, because my horse and I are usually away one weekend a month in the spring, summer, and fall for camping or endurance rides.
