Looking for a barn with an indoor, hacking and good turnout.
What amount of turnout do you consider good?
A large field where a 4-yr old gelding can run with the buddies.
I am a complete novice about many things so I wondered how much time you required for turnout. My granddaughter rides at what I think is a wonderful barn but I’ve learned that some people prefer 24/7 turnout or what I think is field board??? This barn doesn’t offer 24/7 turnout although I know that in the summer there are groups that are out all night… I guess I am not a lot of help!

Knavery…I misinterpreted your question. “Good turnout” is as long as possible given the circumstances. Sometimes with bugs or weather or winter the hours are cut shorter, just a barn that likes horses out as much as possible.
Fair Hill area has several barns/boarding facilities. One backs up to miles and miles of trails…that seems nice! I think it’s called Appleton Equestrian… They have a website… Get your google on!!
I have not been there in a few years, but I had customers who boarded here and were very happy. I do know the barn is very nice.
Are you looking for a western focused barn or doesn’t matter? Price range?
Does not matter…the quality of the horse care is the most important…

42 Karrots shares the property with the barn where I board. It’s a large farm. No indoor though which is the only drawback as far as I’m concerned. We’ve managed to muddle through so far this winter, I’ve been able to ride a couple times a week except for that crazy cold snap right after Christmas. The different barns are not otherwise affiliated and you’d have to contact 42 karrots for specifics if you were interested.
Edited to add: I’d recommend the barn where I am but she’s full currently. We all share the outdoor. It’s big, never had any problems with people not being able to ride.
Shadow Creek in Chadds Ford is beautiful https://shadowcreekfarm.com/ and so is Brownstone https://www.brownstoneponies.com/
