I’m going to be relocating to the Lakewood area of Denver. I have two horses one is semi-retired, the other I event. I don’t have to be at an “eventing” barn, but would like to find a place that I can sleep at night not worrying about their care. I would prefer pasture board if possible, my boy does best when he’s out all the time. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Yeah, not going to happen. I live in Golden, next to Lakewood. Pasture board doesn’t exist in the area as everything is being built up with subdivisions. If you want that, go way out East or South (Parker, Larkspur, Kiowa, etc.) about 50 miles or so. You can find places with dry lot paddocks in town.
Where in Lakewood will you be (it is a huge town)? All the XC courses are about 35+ miles from the barns in town (very few and rather expensive depending on care - $700+ per month). I board at a h/j/dressage barn in Arvada and haul about 130 miles round trip to school with one of my trainers other than dressage.
Platinum Farm in Franktown. The best. Eventing barn. Professional care.
