Am wanting to take my horse to Wellington for the season. Am not intending to show. Rather, would like to hang out with my friends who are showing and take the occasional lesson from their pro. The problem is that I cannot afford boarding with their pro for $11K a month. I am looking for full service care. Does anyone have any suggestions for reasonable barns for non-showers near the Grey Mare Way area?

Get out of the Wellington zip code and the price falls. Try loxahatchee, There are quite a few barns there that do dry stalls for about 500 a month. Finding full care will be more difficult.
Is that price a typo? The very highest board I have heard of is closer to $3-5K for full training near NYC or in SoCal
11k doesn’t surprise me at all for that area. Wellington in season is very expensive. 11k likely includes all training rides, groom fees, walking/trailering back and fourth to WEF, and the usual trainer fees associated with horse shows. Remember that a barn can easily rent for 50k a month there. When what you get for 11k gets added all up, it actually is not as ridiculous as the initial price tag seems.

The price for a dry stall for the season is 10k minimum, in a barn you’d actually want to stay in, where the OP is looking. So your 3k is about the price of just the stall each month.

@StormyDay - you are correct. This is a show barn I am talking about. Unfortunately, I am old, fat, and becoming scared of showing, so my main pleasure is riding with my friends who still enjoy showing. I want to be close to them so I an ride up to their barn and enjoy.
You might try posting on the local pages about what you are looking for. Someone might have an open stall nearby and be willing to let you use it, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
The barn that I am at in Wellington has amazing care. They are not within a hack to the show grounds , but always have a trailer going to the showgrounds daily , 10 minutes away with traffic . Full care will be less than a dry stall , within hacking distance of WEF.
