Boarding near Garland,TX

Hi all,

I will be moving to Garland,TX in April and as it gets closer, I’m still unable to find a facility I can afford to board my horse.

I am searching for a nice for a reasonable price. Its doesn’t have to be a fancy lessons stable, it can be a nice family barn.

Hi! What’s your max limit for a commute? The closest thing is Windmill Stables in Richardson, I think, but everything on that side of town is on black gumbo and you’ll be SOL unless the facility has an indoor.

Yeah, if you throw out a price range, I have a friend who just did a ton of research on that area because she is also about to move a horse over there, around the new Texas Horse Park. I know she mentioned Rocking M Stables. Dallas Equestrian Center is over there too…though i can’t find much on their boarding prices. White Rock Stables. Capricorn Equestrian says they do limited, case-by-case boarding. Luckily, Garland is kind of central to a lot of Dallas locations, so you have more of an option, though there isn’t much in the exact city of ‘Garland’…most of the barns/stables are closer to the lakes in the area.

Well, $600-650 looks ok for that. Just want to make sure that the horse will be really well cared and fed without any harm to health.

I don’t know if she has space, or what the cost is but I lessoned at Bryherstone Farm a few times several years back. The horses are all very well behaved, they all look amazing, and the ring is partially covered to give you a place to ride in inclement weather. You don’t mention what type of riding you do, but I think she’s got one of the better reputations on that side of the metroplex if you’re an english person: http://www.bryherstonefarm.com/

She’s definitely one of my lifelong favorites! You have to be in the training program, though, and just straight board is not offered.

Garland doesn’t have much but try googling Horse Stables and/or boarding in Rowlett, Sachse and Rockwall. I live in Rockwall and you shouldn’t have to go very far for boarding.
