My sister is looking for somewhere to keep her horse within about an hour from Victoria British Columbia. She is a dressage rider primarily (not competetive), but enjoys hacking as well. She is hoping to find somewhere with pasture turnout and a covered or indoor arena. Anybody Vancouver Island people have any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks all!

There is a very good equestrian community around Victoria. They are “self sufficient”, there is no need to leave the Island for competition (unless you are showing top levels). My contacts are “old” now, I’ve been gone from there for many decades. But it is still the same there… nice. And there are always options- if at first you are not happy or things are not suitable, there are plenty of other options for boarding.
