Here’s the only thing I have to say to you: I am a reliable narrator of my own lived experience. When I tell you the fart bit had nothing to do with my posting that cartoon that is dispositive of the situation. Your opinion and fabricated motives are meaningless - utterly irrelevant. The one and only point was the smug sea lion articulating exactly what it is you do here. I loved specifically, “derail with faux-discourse verbiage.” That and “mock civility” were the reasons I posted that cartoon.
Oh, and, the other thing I posted was also a cartoon and it has no farts. As, and you know this, do the vast majority of cartoons.

Since making a point as a question is sea lioning, I’ll point out that in my own “lived experience”, the actual cartoon was a moderately funny expression of your and others’ contempt for me. I’m used to it. What disgusted me, actually, was your backing away from the joke/jab/commentary with the subsequent statement that “the cartoon was not meant for you [me]”. Utter [bull].
It was always obvious that the cartoon referred to me, and you just responded explaining exactly why you felt it characterized me. Dispositively. I’m not sure I’m allowed to use that lawyer- word if I don’t pretend to be licensed in three states.
And thank you for explaining this phenomenon. I’ve been so baffled by this poster’s behavior since my last interactions with them made it SO patently clear that they were not posting in good faith. David Malki may as well have drawn a Yankee-Doodle-Dandy duchess in Wondermark style in that comic instead of an aquatic mammal, the behavior fits so well.

Each elderly guy who goes down suggests that victims/survivors become more bold, and dominos start to fall with more regularity, until we start weeding out predators who have been operating with impunity for sometimes more than a half century. We know it takes victims a long time to speak up, and that most never do. I hope the fall of each icon absolutely leads to the toppling of the next.
(Except I literally had no idea who bob mcdonald was, or that debbie was married to another horse trainer. Ok nor had I ever thought about who debbie McDonald might be married to)
@ladyj79 I do hope victims are feeling safer coming forward. While the anti-SS crowd still have their pitchforks to hand with each new revelation, I hope the victims are encouraged by actual consequences being handed down.

If you want to get away from the YD show, you might try posting something on the topic of Bob McDonald or SS as opposed to posting about YD. Just a thought.
Observers of the metoo movement noted that most of the highest-profile downfalls were actually of older men who were well past their career prime. And no longer very active in their sphere of influence. Not as much threat to the careers of others.
So … just aimlessly speculating here to no good purpose … does anyone think there are other shoes that could drop that would shake the ground in a more immediate way? Reaching younger predators who are still at high points of their careers? Are there any out there to reach, do you think, and will they be outed? Or do victims remain silent so as not to be ‘the one’ who brought down a Big Name who is still riding for ribbons?

I think you are spot on, and I have wondered whether a couple of guys in particular who are not from the US but have regularly shown here at usef shows would maybe stop doing that to avoid reminding people of their behaviour over the years, because of the reciprocal agreement with the fei. I’m very “interested” to see how a foreign national not in the us but who is a usef member being banned by safe sport plays out.
Also I counted 3 or 4 sea lions all trying to out sea lion each other.
Dunno how to calculate who won. Depends on if it’s straight word count, or paragraphs too long, or failure to diversify remarks, or … how is competitive sea lining scored, exactly?
