Bobby Costello out as Chef D'Equipe

Ohhhh this must be the problem the military has  we change leadership roles every one to two years. Sometimes itā€™s great, other times nothing gets moved forward bc there is zero leadership continuity

Allie gave me permission to repost this here

She also gives a great update on the FEI situation.

Heā€™s been working with the developing riders teams so who knows.

where is the update on the FEI situation?

Itā€™s on Allieā€™s page, but itā€™s too long to screenshot.

The jist of it is: the investigation is ongoing, they are interviewing everyone who is willing to be interviewed, and itā€™s anonymous. There were 30 more reports on AM after Allie went public. Additionally, she is imploring people who had horses out of his training system to speak on the horses mental head space.

She also has been told that people at the highest levels of eventing are mad at her

Is anyone familiar with Amber Braun, the director of High Performance Eventing? Is she involved in eventing herself? It seems there was a fall out of the high performance leadership at USEF, which with that shaky ground has caused fall out after fall out of the coaches of the team.

When Joanie Morris was in that position, her experience was paramount in her success in that role.

Andā€¦ there it is. Sigh. Have been waiting and waiting for that to be mentioned on here.

The dysfunction with the leadership of the team at the upper levels is a mess. I have no clue what a solution looks like though.

Double sigh.

USEF should make a line item in the budget for brooms and rugs, what with all the sweeping up and covering up of messes they do.

Yikes. If thats true, he needs banning.

30!!! More reports?! Ok he needs banning too.

Of course they are mad, they donā€™t want any light shone on the dark deeds going on.

I will say that things are changing though. Our local dressage chapter has been planning clinics for this year and a few people have stepped forward to say donā€™t ask this or that person due to abuses they have seen personally.

People are getting braver and with that, the sport will hopefully get cleaner.

Can you share the link to the update post or what date she posted? I canā€™t find it. Thanks

Yep. And itā€™s pretty obvious who among upper level riders is cool with that, based on who continued on with Eric after. Itā€™s not a secret among that group.

Thatā€™s not the one. She has a more positive update, but itā€™s private.

I think she also posted it as a comment to the post Badger linked. A long comment from a day ago that tracks with the summary you posted previously.

Interesting no Diabolo for Will Coleman

Interesting that 5 of the 12 horses listed are Holsteiners.

Seeing this list without Liz Halliday feels so bizarre - sheā€™s missed in many, many ways.

It just feels a little depleted.

That being said, Iā€™d be shocked if there arenā€™t additions/big changes after the spring season.
