Boot for turnout while shoe is lost

We used to use the blue slippers for turnout when horses lost shoes until a) the shoe could be found and b) farrier could come replace it. Just wondered if these were still the pick or if others had alternatives. I always found that the diaper and vetwrap didn’t make it through the night.

I use diaper, vetrap and Gorilla Duct tape.

I usually use some gauze, vet wrap and heavy duty duct tape. It usually lasts at least a day if not longer.

I use Epsom salt poultice, a paper towel, vet wrap, duct tape, and an Easyboot Rx. I change the wrap every 12-24 hours.

I have used the diaper, vet wrap, duct tape and then Gorilla tape for abcesses and can get it to last through the night even over a shoe.
A tried to get Finnegan to go barefoot in the back one year so had a pair of Easyboot Gloves. I eventually had to go to 4 shoes but still have the Gloves around. I have used them for light riding and turn-out until the farrier could get there. I did have to rasp the edges of the hoof smooth since he peeled the edge of his hoof when he ripped off the shoe.
