Depends on where you are in Detroit. If you’re near Oakland county, there is a repair shop in Rochester. It’s Tony’s Shoe repair on Auburn Rd.
That’s the only place I know well enough to recommend

I have a non horsey cousin who lives in Northville and she said you might want to try Cobbler’s Corner in Northville. It’s a shoe repair and she doesn’t know if they do boots, but it’s worth a try.
