I’ve successfully used Boot Stretch or water/alcohol solution sprayed onto tall boots that were slightly tight to stretch them. Would this work to shrink tall boots that were a little looser than you’d like? I got a great deal on someone’s rejected customs last year and think I lost a few pounds. Now the boot shafts are just a touch looser than I like them. but they’re really not loose enough for a shoemaker to take them in. Wondering how to make them shrink about 1 cm snugger in the upper calf/top??
I’ve wondered this for myself as well - or if the bathtub method will work for shrinking purposes.
1 cm is a lot.
A good cobbler could easily take that in.
Yup, right along the seam.
Eat a lot of salty food?
