Boot width sizes

After purchasing a pair of brown field boots I now need a black pair to match my dressage saddle/when I need to not be obvious.

I have a pair of black ariats in a us 7 with a regular calf which I THINK is a 13 1/2 inch calf, however my legs go numb in them post Covid body which is why I bought the brown pair which has a 33cm calf and fits perfect.

Now, shouldn’t a 13 1/2 inch be BIGGER than a 33 cm?

I’ve been shopping in Europe as the prices including shipping are amazing, but I’m stumped on sizes now.

13.5” = 34.29cm
So 33cm should be smaller than your current boots. But Ariats (which I own, not hating) are mass produced and have a lot of variation. Mine are a regular but I recently tried on a slim that fit basically the exact same
