We are getting ready to do our first ever booth at an Event so are starting from scratch. They will provide the tent and the table, we supply everything else. We plan to eventually get our own tent and table since I assume that isn’t always provided but don’t need that yet. Looking for ideas for displaying halters and lead shanks in a way that is both attractive but functional as we really want people to touch and hold our products. Thoughts?

I think I would buy something like this for the halters. Whatever you do needs to be very sturdy.

And then you can use the table to arrange the leadropes. Also have a tabletop easel to hold color-printed handouts that feature your website and how people can order from you in the future.

That was something I had considered already, glad you think that will work.
I would do grid wall stand. Example below. You can get racks to add on to it for display. The main reason is because it will store easier and fit in vehicles better. I am always running out of room getting things too and from the shows. Also if you plan on doing more than that particular show, it is easier to arrange to look good in other venues.
You can get different styles to suit your needs and I suggest a Google search for your particular needs.
