Boots for men?

DH and I will be going on vacation soon and he needs some better boots to ride in. I let him ride in his hiking boots or sneakers at home (flame suit on) while I’m watching him but the ranch we are going to is very specific about smooth-soled boots.

Trouble is, he wears a size 14! Anybody know of a good place to get a pair for a reasonable price? FWIW I think he would rather wear paddock-type rather than western but I know options are limited.

Finding them in stock to try on might be tough but plenty of people make them if you are happy to mail order

If you don’t like the kilty, it’s only held on by the laces.

These are special order in 14 but looks like they ship fast.

Several choices…get him a pair of “ropers”…these are lace up western boots, very comfortable and more protective than paddock boots.

If he’d wear english boots, try https://www.boot.com/bdstock.htm. These are men’s Dehner boots made for working mounted/motorcycle officers. They come in his size, you can do laced or solid and they cost $429. Amazing price for Dehner anything (yes, they’re American made). They usually have a lot of the boots in stock. Great stuff.

I have found more men’s size 14 boots in western than paddock styles.

Blundstones:

Try Googling “men’s riding boots size 14”.

Does he wear a 14 in every style? A friend of mine wears size 14 shoes but has size 13 slippers … no riding boots, though.

I wear Ariat Terrain. Like a hiking shoe. Made in size 14 too…

Ariat Terrains are great, and he can hike in them too.

Another option is Blundstones – my DH rides in them. According to their size chart, a Cdn 14 is a Blundstone 14 (Cdn and US sizes are the same).

Duplicate post.

Thanks everyone!

These!

DH loves his brown Blundstones so much I had to buy him a pair of black ones last Christmas.

They don’t have smooth soles though, which was the original reason for needing new boots.
