Bossy bibs

Thinking of getting a bossy bib for a sensitive skinned horse getting shoulder rubs (blanket fits well, he just very thin skinned). Question, are the bossy bibs sweaty/how do they breathe?

They’re thin, breathable synthetic material that’s slippery. Won’t add to the sweatiness of the situation IMEX unless the overlying blanket it too warm.

Fwiw, I have a back on track shoulder guard that serves the same purpose. My mare has tight shoulders pretty often, and it helps a lot, plus prevents rubs. Just in case yours might need help in the shoulder department

I bought one last winter for a sensitive horse that gets shoulder rubs easily. It worked beautifully and no issues with sweating.

I’ve used Bossy Bibs (and knock-offs) for years, never any problem with rubs. I have also found that they seem to keep the blanket from dragging back as you put the top chest strap of the blanket through the loop on the bib. I haven’t stop to analyse why, just something I’ve noticed.
