BOT vs Other Therapeutic Blankets/Sheets

Currently shopping for a BOT sheet for new (much smaller) horse and came across a few other brands that look like they’re doing similar-type products. Does anyone have experience with any of them? I’ve found Draper, Lux Ceramic, Weatherbeeta Therapy-Tec and Bucas Recuptex to name a few. Would love to hear experiences, opinions, etc. or if you have any other similar brands.

I have a Draper stable sheet for my mare and it’s fabulous quality. They are made in the US.

We bought a winter weight BOT blanket for an old mare (32) who has trouble keeping weight on in our frigid weather. It is 1200D, so it is actually waterproof. She wears it all the time, and for being out 24/7, the blanket is holding up wonderfully. Great quality. And she’s even put some weight on, with no change in diet.

I have found BoT products to be poor price to quality ratio, even human ones that don’t see a lot of aggressive wear and tear. My knee brace had minor elastics breaking really early on, and stretched out quickly. I had hock boots that tore within a few uses, and friends have had their Royal quick wraps come apart far too quickly. Because I am a big fan of their therapeutic benefits though, I have opted to grit my teeth and try to ignore the price, as well as purchasing other similar brands.

I have tried the Fenwick pastern wraps but the velcro failed on them within a year, and I also have the Shedrow Thermal Therapy quick wraps which don’t get used often enough to break down. Neither of these are items that I can use on myself, so I can’t compare therapeutic benefit directly.

If I buy more ceramic-infused products for the horse, I’ll likely try more of the Shedrow line since they are cheaper and appear to be of similar quality to BoT.

I have a Draper stable blanket for the horse and two dog blankets. I find they have all held up better over time than my BOT products.
I have a friend that loves their Benafab ceramic horse sheet. It seems really well made.
