Bottle Cap Adapter for Regumate

Looking for one of the bottle cap adapters to use on a smaller bottle of regumate. Like the one that comes on the liter bottle.

My mare’s on a test run of regumate for one month for some behavior issues so I don’t want to go out and buy a liter quite yet.

Anyone know where to get the adapter so that getting it out is easier/safer?

(saw the syringe system in smartpak - seems like people have trouble with the hose cracking etc. so not particularly interested in buying that).

I got the APE-Plex nylon syringe for Regumate. Makes it easy and then can go right off the bottle with next to no fuss. Do not have to struggle and the standard syringe was always becoming difficult to use. I get it thru Valley Vet Supply.

Timely thread since I’m looking for a pump that would fit on the regumate bottle though we might just pour the regumate into a bottle that has a pump on it. Current system works but annoying - rubber gloves (dishwashing gloves), 20 ml syringe and dump into feed.

I have the SmartPak pump and love it. Have never had a problem with it.

I just looked at a picture of that one, are you just putting the syringe down into the bottle and pulling regumate up?

I just looked at a picture of this one. Are you just putting the syringe down into the bottle and drawing liquid up? Kind of seems like what I’m doing now.

Do you have a link for this? Timely for me as well, our recip mare is getting Regumate for at least a couple more months.

oo I have someone going down to US maybe she can grab one from Smartpak.

another vote for the smartpak system. Knock wood, no problems yet. I’m sure come winter I’ll have to find a new method seeing as how the whole stupid bottle freezes even in the fridge. I hate winter.

I have used mine about 5 years. It is great. I clean and store it at the end of every season, but it has lasted. I replaced the hosing one time during that time.

I especially like that the dosage can be changed by a dial. And no Regumate spilling. And not struggling with syringes that get sticky after a few days.

My bottle has a for lack of a better word “nipple” tip…That nylon syringe forms a leak proof barrier and makes drawing it up a breeze. Of course I still wear gloves, but the syringe has been working like a dream for over a year. Wonder if the OP is missing the nipple tip?
