Boxing Day Meet Photos...

![]( had a fantastic day, plenty of jumping and galloping and very little standing around, which suited my horse down to the ground! I managed to get my Father to come follow us out, so here are a few photos of Ali and I… Bare in mind he isn’t the world’s best photographer! :lol:

Please no comments on the fact that Ali isn’t 100% spotlessly clean… I was in a rush yesterday evening to groom and plait him up.

Ali and I going over a small brush type fence with a pole above it. A lot of horses refused here as there was a large crowd of people the other side, but Ali went over it with no problems… Excuse my AWFUL position over it, don’t ask what I was doing as I’m not too sure myself :crazy:

Also, the badly dressed people are NOT regulars with my pack, they’re from a neighbouring pack. They only came out with us today as their Boxing Day meet isn’t particularly great… It’s just a “once off” every year, if people were turning up dressed as badly as that regularly then our hunt staff would certainly have a word with them…

The guy in his jeans with is cig/fag is too funny. I just sent a note to another mother whose daughter is coming out w/us in January about good and proper turn out!:lol:

LOL! Unfortunately my Father isn’t a great photographer so all the other photos of me jumping are taken waaay too early or far too late after the jump :lol:

Gosh, for December your gray horse looks perfectly clean, good job! Thanks for sharing the pictures. I had a solid white gelding once and for fun one March day along his muddy side I took a wet finger and wrote “WASH ME” on him. It’s a great photo.

One question, why is it often hunts your area, and others GB, start in small towns/villiages??? It seems so traditional to see an oversea’s hunt hacking by shoppes on paved roads while over here most all hunting fixtures originate from farms/stables on rural, often even unpaved, roads.

We didn’t hunt yesterday, it was today, and I should have gone. Snow late this afternoon with more promised tomorrow night means I won’t haul out for Saturdays hunt 12 miles from me. Those unpaved, hilly, rural roads I reference above will remain untreated making travel w/ a horse trailer foolish.
