There is a schooling show coming up near me and I will be showing hunter and jumper. I normally do not braid for schooling shows but this show used to be a very large A/AA show (can’t remember which) and this year they decided to host a schooling show. There will be a hunter derby and jumper derby, which I will be competing in (on two different horses) and I can’t decide whether or not to braid my hunter. What would you do? Thanks!
For a hunter derby at a large unrated show I would braid the mane. That’s what’s done here at unrated shows. Some will have tails too but no one will have an unbraided mane.
