What are your favorite videos on braiding? I find that my rubber band braids pop out and have to be redone frequently so I’m looking for some good videos on either rubber band or sewn in braids for dressage.
I do it just like this and it works and they stay in well.

I watched several and came up with an approach that worked for my horse’s mane. I kind of sew them in like this video. Getting waxed thread and some blunt needles makes it easy to sew them in. I tried yarn before but the waxed thread is way better!

Also, I really like this comb. Having your “mise en place” ready before you braid makes a huge difference.

To make rubber band braids stay in use THREE bands. One for the end, one for the first fold, one for the second/final fold. The bands grip each other and I’ve never had one pop out since I learned this!
