breakaway halter with adjustable nose but NO throatlatch snap

My sister is looking for a halter with the following criteria

• Breakaway leather crown
• Adjustable noseband
• NO snap at the throatlatch
• Purple
• Cob size

I have searched all over teh Internet without luck. The only ones I can find with no snap at the throatlatch have a non-adjustable noseband.

Does anyone have any suggestions/leads?

This is the closest I could find. Maybe try searching for headcollars? European halters have noseband buckles much more commonly, so it might be doable?

Maybe this would work. I also know you can get straps to convert a nylon halter to breakaway if wanted.

Thanks. Can’t tell whether or not it has a snap, but the noseband does not appear to be adjustable.

Just buy the purple halter she wants… then put a break away crown on it. Not hard at all as they are usually replaceable.

It’s hard to find them without the snap unless you go custom. I’m sure somewhere like Bartville Harness would do it.

I was going to also suggest custom, or if you have any Amish/Mennonite tack/harness shops nearby, they can make what you want, or even modify a commercially made halter for you.

We use them ALL THE TIME to fix this or that. Amazing resource!

Try Iowa Valley Carriage. They have a halter with the nose buckle that can be ordered with out snap on throat latch. I think they work with local Amish and if you ask you might be able to order with a leather crown piece. Nice people. www.iowavalleycarriage.com
