Breast CA in cats

My 10+yo housecat (she’s a shelter cat, guesstimated at 2 or 3 when I got her 9 years go) has a swollen nipple.

No lump that might indicate mammary gland involvement, just the nipple - discovered when I was stroking her belly, at first it felt like a tick

But it is “only” a swollen nipple and not painful for her. I was able to express a tiny bit of clear fluid and then a trace of blood, all without her protesting my fiddling with it.
Considering how minute cat nipples are, this one is swollen about 4X beyond normal, but still hardly noticeable.

Obviously the vet needs to take a look, but the $$ for that will not be in my bank account for at least another 2 weeks.

Anyone here have experience with Breast CA in a cat?

Have that t-shirt. Didn’t end well, as the cancer metastisized into the lungs. Older kitty, but she did not present like you are describing your girl. We found a lump, hard, not painful, no nipple discharge.

Hope this is just a localized infection.
