I would like to be able to clip the girth loop to my girth instead of looping it around, but the loop cannot be undone to slide a clip on. Any creative and secure ideas? Thanks!

I would be very very careful about doing this. Unless there is an inlayed clip on the girth, any sort of snap will hang down a bit and if the horse tucks up well, they can catch a shoe (or stud) on the hanging clip. There have been several instances of horses falling with this happens. The only way I would clip a strap to the girth when jumping is if the clip is set into the girth well enough to not hang down at all and instead lays flat.
Interesting- not an issue with mine, she is and has always been barefoot.
