Breeches question, sizing and brand comparison?

Hiya. I’m looking at both FreeRide Breeches and Maya Delorez breeches. Does anyone have experience with either of these brands? A preference for one vs the other?

Also for sizing, for the MD brand, I’m right in between sizes small and medium. In regular pants, I’m a 6 or an 8 depending on the brand. In US breeches I’m size 28. The website says if you’re in between sizes, to size down, I’m just having a hard time believing I’m a size small?? 5’2" and 130lbs.

Just bought some FreeRide. Love the material and feel, though haven’t fully tested them yet.

I’m usually a 6 or 8 in jeans and a 30 in breeches. I got the medium and they fit great.

No idea how they compare to the other though!

Thanks! What is the FreeRide material like, is it more like tights or is it structured like breeches?

Definitely more like tights.

Wore them all day Saturday at a show that was 95 degrees and felt like I wasn’t wearing anything. Very comfy.

MD are amazing, the compression are very stretchy so yes, size down. I just ordered a 2nd pair, the performance breeches are a bit thinner without front pockets (bus has side cell pocket) for hot summer days, you won’t be disappointed!
