I ride in paddocks and half chaps and mine holder fits fine over my chaps and fat calves. I can wear it on the arm but it is really convenient on the calf. My current one probably would work with an IPhone but I think it is too small for my Galaxy S4 Active. The S4 Active is a pretty big phone and I don’t see it being comfortable to carry anywhere on my person. Too bad since it is waterproof and my horse loves to SPLASH in streams. I get a nice shower too

My solution was to switch my cheap slide phone to a new number and I only use it to trail ride with. It I trash it, oh well no big deal. Service is only $10 a month.

If you’re a 26" and want black, or a 28" and want cafe (tan), Smartpak has the Irideon Cargo breeches (which I have lusted after for so long I can’t even tell you), on 1/2 price for under $50… just bought the cafe for myself (fortunately have American cousins I can ship to because Smartpak REFUSES to shop to Canada), so now that I’ve got mine it’s safe to share…

Another vote for Equissentials! They are fully customizable size-wise at the same price as off the rack, which is useful for anyone who is short or fat or just has an odd shape. And for a small charge they will add belt loops, a cell phone pocket, a zipper, etc. Pricey but well worth it IMO… I use them for everything but showing.
