Really excited for the Breeders Cup. I (along with several partners) have a horse running in the Marathon Stakes on Breeders Cup Friday. He will be a longshot but I am still looking forward to just being able to go and watch. Hoping to get some COTH positive thoughts and help cheering him on. Ground Rules --race 5 , post 6 with Desormeaux riding.

Often TVG pulls together the high payoffs (for win tickets) from the week before. Not many but yup, horses that weren’t supposed to win (in the eyes of the bettors at least) sometimes do.

How exciting!!! Just having a horse good enough to enter is a “win-win”. Enjoy the day win,lose or draw. At 8-1 he not though of as “hopeless”. Personally I don’t like my horses to be the favorite in any race. Too much to live up to and too much disappointment when they don’t.
I’ve been to the Breeders’ Cup a number of times with friends and or clients who had horses in it. None won but a couple hit the board. The only time our “post race party” was like a morgue was with some friends who owned the favorite and finished 3rd.

Thank you. I got down to Del Mar today. Going to watch work outs in the morning. The race goes at 1:30 Friday. Are any other COTH’ers here for Breeders Cup?
