tell me about your success rates with frozen Comme Il Faut semen, especially with maiden and/or older mares! Everywhere he is sold they seem to recommend 2-3 straws, how many straws did you use? how many tries? Bonus points if you then went on to transfer the embryo or freeze it. thank you in advance!!
We bred a 13 year old maiden to Comme Il Faut in 2016. Two straws were used. Motility of the semen post-thaw was 50%. Two embryos were recovered and implanted in recipient mares, and one made it to be born in 2017 and is now a strapping colt. New Bolton did the honors.
